Some navigating to the bypass of “nothingness”
Some are stuck in the junction
While a few did made it home

One runner said “look here for a moment”
Mother “I made it”, yay “I nailed it”
…And it was worth it but I’ve seen terrible things
Many things trouble me but these few give me more concern

Emotional TorL

The pivotal seat of human senses is built in her emotional spectrum. The emotions each of us exhibit defines us. Our emotions flows from the sinews of our thoughts, how we process events and what we hope to either interpret, express or achieve by certain mode of actions. The concept of intelligence has recently shifted from the sole concept of academic prowess, street wisdom, technical developed skills or naturally in-grained talents; to emotional intelligence. “Life is beautiful”…. Yea right! You got $1million in trust fund bequeath you, a nice country house and fast car to make you say that. Well, I am not about that, I’d wish I had those niceties but not in grasp. There is more to life than what flashes the eye or looks appealing to sight. Money does not buy happiness but can create what you fancy.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Recently I have noticed that what forms my reality is not what happens around me but what happens in me. Every day as I grapple with daily pecks of life’s challenges and survival, there are damning issues of life and my very tissues respond in complex altitudes. I bother sometimes, “why do I have to react that way”, “it wasn’t that bad after all”, “if only I had tried a little patience or tenderness”. These feelings buffet me and drains me of daily dose of joy. (more…)

We are often relegated to the thought that the mistakes we make defines us as we are all human. I resent such character appropriation. How we ‘right’ our wrongs defines us. No matter how deepened are the wounds, sullen the relationship or messy that fallout; we failing to act to correct our wrongs is building a comfy palace of mistakes. (more…)

The long drive to be successful and accomplished is deeply in-grained in the human DNA, whether it is for the better or worse of the lot. Regardless, the glory of self comes to play in the theatre of dreams.

Selfishness is often seen as a dark expression of oneself over the common good. In some school of thoughts, it is seen as the root cause of the ills in the society. At the tail end of all contemporary issues we face in the world, you’ll trace scintilla of self coming to play big time.
